"Just a few feet from the beach!"
This beautiful custom home is a perfect vacation retreat on Kauai's lush northern shore that comfortably accommodates six to eight people. Hale la' Pohaku (the house made of wood, stone, and lots of marble) is located on Anini Beach - Kauai's loveliest and safest beach. The 2,000 square foot home has a distinct Oriental feel and features nearly 500 square feet of covered lanais, ceiling fans, a large "Great Room" with Koa wood floors, high ceilings, marble and granite finishes, and custom lighting.
The large master suite has a king-size bed and a marble bathroom with twin vanities and a luxurious shower. There is a separate Jacuzzi room with its own entrance from the lanai. The other two oversized bedrooms each have direct access to a lanai with queen beds and a large shared bathroom. The large, well-appointed kitchen has Koa wood cabinets and granite countertops. There are three dining areas including a large dining room and another on the front lanai overlooking the ocean. There are front and rear lanais with ocean and mountain views. Directly across the quiet street is a path that leads to beach access. Complete laundry facilities are on the premises as well.
About 50 steps away is beautiful, clean, and sandy Anini Beach, noted for its double reef, making it the safest beach in Hawaii for swimming, kayaking, and sunbathing. Anini Beach also features windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing and charter boats, and a lovely park with fresh water, electricity, and pavilions for picnickers. Bird-watching is a delight, and polo matches are held on Sunday afternoons from May through September. Just around the point lies some of the best surfing and boogie-boarding waters on the island, and a fresh-water stream for swimming and river kayaking.
The home is located just two to three miles from the Princeville Resort area, where there are many shops, a supermarket, golf courses, tennis courts, helicopter rides, wagon trail rides, hiking, biking, and so much more. Two to three miles the other direction is Kilauea with its famous Lighthouse, bird sanctuary, and Guava Plantation - - just to name a few local activities.
